With over 20 years of programming experience and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Chemnitz University of Technology, alongside a Master’s degree in Media Informatics, I am currently a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Peregrine Technologies GmbH. My expertise lies in developing cutting-edge deep learning algorithms that are applicable across various industries, including automotive, ambient assisted living, and surveillance.
Throughout my career, I have worked on diverse research topics such as:

While my current role focuses on the automotive industry, my Ph.D. research also explored ambient assisted living, a field closely aligned with surveillance in terms of technology and application. My work includes human pose estimation, activity recognition, and real-time monitoring, all of which are critical to ensuring safety and enhancing quality of life in various environments.
